some thank you's

I've been using this one paper towel as a blotter for my watercolor painting for the last 8 months. It has taken on a life of its own.

Hello,

Are you relieved it's Friday? I am. This week has been stressful and I'm ready to rest a little this weekend. Inspired by Jen, I'd like to make some banana bread. I have three ripe bananas waiting, and not for much longer.

There have been some really sweet people mentioning our Noticing Project on their blogs this week and we are so grateful to you! We also appreciate each comment that you leave about our diptychs. Thank you so much for the thoughtful interest and support you have given in this first week of our project.

Have you been seeing all the beautiful white posts that Cally is making? I really like the hole filled spoons made by Caroline Gomez in this post of hers.

have a bright and colorful weekend friends and family,
Heather

your paper towel- just like the floor in Jackson Pollock's studio. :)

I'm happy that you and Alica are sharing The Noticing Project. your photographs draw me in. it's a pleasing thought- a year of this ahead.

Your project is famous! It's a nice way to start off a day. Seeing what you noticed and then noticing something yourself.

You should frame those towels! So lovely :)

Have a great weekend, Heather!

i'm struck by the paper towel - the quadrants, the colors, the drippy-ness. and that you've been using it for 8 months.

J- Thank you; wouldn't it have been something to see jackson pollock's studio floor?!

Julie- you're sweet; it is so inspiring to me to see that others are noticing on their own. art has power :)

Emily- Thanks; I guess I'm taking not wanting to waste paper towels to the extreme.:)

how brilliant that you use the one piece to blot, art in it's own right.

i had planned to mention 'noticing' before now, but i have this serious block when doing a post about someone whose work i am so in awe of (the pin prick post) but i have just been re-writing for 19th time and it's a lot shorter.

seriously, i'd written an essay on you, on my own humble pricking, on the work of some old fave's who I had trouble hunting out up-to-date links for). But I am nearly there, it's still too long, but once I get 2 more link for catherine i will post it.

and re the next post of your, YES, i have hugged the cat today, he loved it so much he fell asleep tucked around my hand so he looked like a glove puppet. oh, and those paper creatures on the branch are the absolute best!

ps. i'm so tired, i linked to the person to the white posts before realising it was me!

Thanks for the shout on that, now I know why my blog hits doubled to 500 the other day. 250+ of them had abviously been here first :0)

excuse the essay (again), my email has overwhelmed me so i'm mainly using comments this week to avoid stress.

Cally, your words are pure gold. I'm sure your first draft of the post was fabulous!
And you earned those 500 hits all on your own :)
